Common questions about Ceiling Systems

Get in touch

What types of projects are Studform ceilings suited for?

Studform ceilings are designed for commercial, healthcare, education, aquatic, defence and infrastructure projects, particularly where performance, compliance and coordination are critical.

Are Studform ceilings Australian made?

Yes. Studform ceilings are designed and manufactured in South Australia, enabling responsive service, local engineering support and consistent quality control.

What standards do Studform ceilings comply with?

Studform ceiling systems are designed in accordance with AS/NZS 2785:2020 Suspended ceilings – Design and Installation and consider requirements of Earthquake Design Standard AS 1170.4:2024 for non-structural components.

Why is seismic ceiling design important?

Seismic design helps protect occupants, equipment and building functionality during an event, supporting continuity of service, not just structural survival.

Has the Kwikloc® seismic system been tested?

Yes. Kwikloc® seismic systems have been independently tested under extreme conditions, including multi-directional shake table testing to validate performance under seismic load.

What makes Studform ceilings different from standard grid systems?

Studform's Kwikloc® system delivers a flat, even grid with minimal bracing, increasing usable ceiling cavity and simplifying service coordination. A dual wall angle system accommodates compression and expansion at the perimeter, helping maintain a consistent ceiling plane.
