Testimonials

“Kwikloc shows great promise, and I look forward to the time when the system is actually in the United States so we can use it in our buildings and hospitals”.
Maryann Phipps, President of E-structure, Seismic Design Firm in San Francisco, California
“This is a very good system. Best we’ve seen. Normally systems fail at Ssd 2.0 or 2.25 .”

The Kwikloc Seismic ceiling system installed at the DesignLab in Christchurch was subjected to a significant earthquake event of 5.5 on the Richter scale and subsequent aftershocks on the 14th November 2016, otherwise known as the “Kaikoura” earthquake event.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the strength and resilience of the Kwikloc ceiling during this earthquake. Being a ceiling of 120 square metres without intermediary bracings I expected some signs of stress. The 5.5 magnitude quake made no impact on this large area, with the ceiling holding together perfectly, showing no sign of damage, movement or collapse. Other similar products in other spaces did move and twist during this quake.

Congratulations your ceiling performed as we had hoped it would. We always hope these large natural events won’t happen again, but we have learnt in Canterbury the hard way, and we know only too well what damage can be caused from falling ceiling tiles. It’s nice to know should the need arise that your product delivered.

Richard Hamilton, Manager- Organisational Development Unit, DesignLab Christchurch District Health Board, NZ
“the ceiling was tested to the limits of our equipment and the only way we could see the ceiling failing is if it was on top of the San Andreas fault in California with the largest earthquake that could ever occur”…
